The overhaul of No. 3 “Bodiam” is nearing completion with the Trust’s locomotive set to take centre-stage at the Kent & East Sussex Railway’s “Best of British” event over the Bank Holiday Weekend as the line celebrates Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee.
 
The engine will sport the eye-catching Improved Engine Green livery favoured by the LB&SCR when she was outshopped in 1872 and carry her original name “Poplar”.
